A man begins to suffer and enter in misfortune when he loses his vitality, his life power. Success, health and the state of being in tune with happiness depend on the amount of a man's spiritual power. The causes of loss of energy are the following:
a. Negative Self Image (Low Self Esteem)
b. Passive life-style,
c. External factors that weaken one's energy.
a. Negative Self Image (Low Self Esteem) - The sense of "I" is created according to the understanding each person has about the meaning of his life. The wider and greater the meaning of a person's life the greater his spiritual power.
There are 5 levels of living connected to the meaning of one's life and Self Image 1) lowest existence is an aimless existence, just like a vegetable. 2) One place higher is taken by a service to the worldly, egoistic interests and to the instincts (life like an animal). 3) The third; living for something or someone. Life dedicated to an external goal (carrier, family, or any external project) 4) Life dedicated to Self Development, learning and growing - life dedicated to inner goals - here are the majority of spiritual people 5) The highest stage is Living for the sake of helping and liberating others, and for the delivering of the will of the Highest Divine Power into the world. This way is original only when is motivated by unconditional love
b. Passive life-style - A man, who restricts himself to a carnal existence, living mechanically, governed by habits and repeating day after day the past and already known, narrows his ability to perceive the Divine Power: 1) Passive living governed by fear of failure, self pity and inner stress. 2) Going with the stream, attachment to conformity & group thinking. Following always the opinion of the majority or of the company and being afraid to stand out and take a new path or disagree, destroys a very big part of the vital energy of a man 3) Being attached towards always choosing the most easy way, with the least effort and giving way to laziness weakens life power and, as a result, diseases will certainly visit.
On the contrary, every action, which is made with effort and super-effort directed to a spiritual purpose, develops great power in a man. This power will protect him always, and will allow him to survive impossible conditions like curing lepers whilst remaining healthy. Passivity and turning back when difficulties approach, especially on the spiritual path, lead to losing one's health and life power.
c. External factors that weaken one's energy - Outer factors that drain energy and lead to disease can be: 1) Unhealthy environment of living and/or of work - little movement, work in front of a computer or constantly sitting on a chair, constantly standing etc. 2) External stressful situations accompanied by explosions of emotion (which drains a lot of power), 3) Not taking care of the body's well being, getting cold or tired, staying late at night at clubs etc. 4) Over-strain, 5) Attachment to the results, 6) clogging the body with heavy food, alcohol, drugs, toxins and so on.
You should take these and the other factors, which define the causes of disease into account. You need to draw your patient's attention to these factors and recommend him the opposite way of behaving: for example if he overeats prescribe fasting or change of habits, if excessive sex - abstinence.
In Tibet a healer first acts as a priest who hears the confession. In this way he finds out the true causes of the person's disease, but without stuffing the person with recipes and remedies. Later he tries to change the person's attitude towards himself by widening his consciousness and connecting him with the Divine Power and living in a higher level of quality according to all the previous factors analyzed above.
In the West nobody pays attention to a person's soul. Even the Church many times is more interested in whether you have been baptized or not than in solving your problems. Our experience proved that successful act of freeing one from an evil eye or an illness or a stressful situation and which was performed by the best healers would not bring any positive long term results if the patient would not change his perception of himself. The person would become again a subject to an evil eye, or would get himself into troubles on his own or in a new stressful situation. It is as if he is locked into a vicious circle. This is his destiny, karma, but karma does not have to be necessarily manifested in a person's life.
Since Karma can be defined basically as our attitude towards ourselves, if this changes then the karma disappears. This is what happened to the sinner who was crucified at the same time as Christ and to whom the Savior said: "Today you will be in paradise with me". As the man's attitude towards himself changed under the influence of Jesus channeling the Divine power, his blessings were revealed.
There is also no point in treating a man who has not changed his way of living. You can correct the curvature of his spine, but if he sits badly again and has an inactive life-style, the condition will return. You can give medicinal herbs to treat a liver, but if the person continues to eat the same unhealthy things, the liver will suffer again and again. You can relieve a heart attack with acupuncture but new stresses would bring it back again. You can help a man to solve one of his psychological problems, but another will take the place of the previous one.
A true doctor doesn't hurry, as his intent is that of diagnosing your attitude towards yourself and your actions, and his remedy that of changing your unhealthy way of living. Herbs and needles are only auxiliary instruments giving a small push towards health. The way out is the practice of perfection and as long as doctors do not understand this, the number of sick people will continue to increase.
True methods for healing remain unknown by all but a few, so that, sometimes the "doctor" is in an even worse condition of health than his patients.
Open this way of wisdom to you and put it into practice for the healing and awakening of yourself and of mankind. The Divine will help you with this task! Namaste!
