Continued from PART 6…
man anyway should be active. We should at least pursue goals, like better positions, more significance, power, glory, money or fame, and success. This is better than being a “lazy pig.” But we should pursue these goals NOT to have better sex, or more women, or satisfy our needy desires for pleasure and validation. We should not strive to acquire an identity to feel good about our selves or to be able to spend money and receive admiration and energy from the world around us. We should do it for the pursuit of money itself, for the pursuit of the goal itself. You should see this as a game of evolution where the more conscious you become, the more you change, the more the external results serve as a mirror of your good efforts. For example, one should pursue fitness for the sheer pleasure of being fit and the empowerment that this gives to a human and not for the outcome in the eyes of the word (six-pack abs, lean legs, sexy body, etc.). The most successful businessmen invest the money and not spend it. They pursue wealth, not pleasure. It’s more like a game you like to play.
Then we need to pay attention to what the great Masters have taught humanity. These people always had the same purpose; to help humans learn how to study and understand themselves. We have to take them seriously.
All these things that your mother was telling you, write them on paper and then tear it apart. Release it once and for all and replace it with the Teachings of Masters. Take the books of Gurdjieff, Osho, Castaneda, or Jesus and study them and do what they say.
Don Huan Was saying to Castaneda that his goal was to pursue impeccability and self-completion, completion of his energy body.
Gurdjieff was explaining how to study oneself almost scientifically.
Jesus was telling people how to see the Divine purpose of a man.
Osho was teaching people how to have sex and relate to each other and life.
Follow these profound teachings and insights of the Higher existential levels.
For example, the disciples of Osho were telling each other:
“I know you are not a prince; you are a human being.
I know you are not a princess too.
Now we are together because we are attracted to each other, and there is a lot of energy of passion inside of us. We want to have sex and enjoy it like we enjoy a meditation - we will explore each other, and we will enhance or experience of life and our being because it is one of the most beautiful things in life. We will not, after that, have a family and kids necessarily. We are not meeting each other with this purpose.”
And they stopped obsessing about their relationships and where it should lead externally, and they were practising tantra. They didn’t have fantasies; they were simply meditating, experiencing, and observing the flow of energy. Look at the cats. The cat does not have to carry the other cat in his/her back for the rest of their life simply because they had sex.
People complain that they do not know what to do. Usually, the first impression of a situation is the right one, but there is continuously second-guessing, over-thinking, and doubt. So what one has to do? One has to become a warrior and always move forward no matter what. There is no luck or failure. You should, anyway, forever overcoming your inner obstacles. Through this, a man evolves.
When Gurdjieff had a car accident, he didn’t take it as an unfortunate thing that happened, but he used it to overcome himself.
When they crucified Christ, he took it as a challenge to overcome himself and his limitation and arrive in unity with his Father.
If you believe in something, you need to move to the direction of your faith, even if nobody believes in you. Do not pay attention to the haters and critics. If you do, you will become like them, and you will start doubting yourself, criticising yourself, and hating yourself. You will have conflicts inside.
Maybe from the very childhood, your mother or Father was condemning you, and now you have to condemn yourself in their place to remain connected with them.
We do so many things unconsciously in our life.
